Capture shared living costs correctly and show clients how much they could save.
Who this is for: Brokers
Household expenses
When you add an applicant, select their relationship to the existing applicants. Married and de facto applicants are grouped into one household automatically.
Enter each expense in the categorised table and choose how often it's paid (weekly, monthly or annually). Totals calculate for you.
To change how applicants are grouped, remove and re-add the applicant with the right relationship.
This works the same in the broker portal and the client portal.
Compare against HEM
The HEM calculation shows how your client's spending compares with the Household Expenditure Measure for Australia. It's available on Small Business and Enterprise plans; ask support to switch it on.
Use the debt calculator
Complete the fact find. The calculator pulls in income, expenses, assets, liabilities and loan details automatically.
Check the Employment section: after-tax salary and combined income are calculated for you (combined income can't be edited).
Review the Summary page: combined income, living expenses, net cash flow and total monthly expenses.
For planned spending such as a renovation or holiday, choose Yes if it will be borrowed (it's then included in the calculation) or No to leave it out.
To model a scenario, change values and click Save Custom Values. Click Reset to go back to the fact-find figures.
Generate the PDF report, which includes the repayment graph and signature fields, and send it to the applicants to sign.
